Bogotá Fashion Week begins with 145 brands and strengthens Colombian fashion

The ninth edition of Bogotá Fashion Week will bring together 145 brands and designers from May 12 to 14 at Ágora Bogotá.

Organized by the Bogotá Chamber of Commerce, the event turns the capital into a hub of business and creativity with 28 runways and 44 selected brands. Designer Kika Vargas will open the program, which includes a wholesale business round with more than 80 national and international buyers.

Bogotá concentrates more than 33 percent of the country's fashion market, with over 32,000 active companies and more than 200,000 direct jobs. Participating brands completed more than 720 hours of training in product development, commercial strategy and internationalization.

In addition to the runways, the agenda features 24 conversations with more than 60 experts, a multi-brand store open to the public and networking spaces that boost local tourism and commerce.
