BTS achieved a new streaming milestone when its music video for NORMAL became the most-streamed K-pop video in a single day on Spotify. The platform announced the record on July 17. The video premiered that same day and remains exclusive to Spotify for 48 hours.
Spotify revealed the achievement through its official social media accounts. The visual, directed by Ukrainian filmmaker Tanu Muino, shows the group members Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V and Jung Kook relaxing in a mansion.
NORMAL serves as the second single from the album ARIRANG. The track follows SWIM, which reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100 in April. ARIRANG itself topped the Billboard 200 upon release and holds the title of most-streamed K-pop album on Spotify since its March 20 launch.
Interscope and Capitol Records plan to promote NORMAL to pop radio starting the week of July 27. The announcement coincides with the group's ongoing world tour, which included shows in France on July 17 and 18.
