Authorities in Cali and Valle del Cauca prepare measures to facilitate voting in the presidential runoff on Sunday, June 21, 2026.
Cali’s Mobility Secretariat will deploy more than 100 traffic agents at strategic points during the electoral day. The plan aims to ease access to polling stations and maintain vehicle flow.
The MIO system will operate from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. on Sunday, covering 206 polling stations, including six in rural areas such as La Buitrera and El Hormiguero. Metro Cali will station guides at key stations.
Governor Dilian Francisca Toro oversaw from the air the deployment of more than 11,000 public force members. In Cali, 4,000 police officers, reinforced by 1,000, will monitor the day.
The mayor’s office will restrict gasoline sales in containers from 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 20, until noon on Monday, June 22. Additional limits apply to debris and heavy cargo transport.
