The Chicago Wolves defeated the Colorado Eagles 3-2 in Game 6 of the Western Conference Finals on Sunday to force a deciding seventh game. Amir Miftakhov made 36 saves in his first playoff start for the Wolves.
Chicago trailed 2-0 after the first period in Loveland. Jack Ahcan scored on a power play at 6:09, and Valtteri Puustinen added a goal late in the opening frame. Juuso Välimäki cut the deficit in half with a power-play goal 2:07 into the second period. Joel Nyström tied the score with 7:03 left in the third, and Ronan Seeley scored the winner with 4:14 remaining. Miftakhov stopped all 23 shots he faced after the first period. The series is now tied 3-3, with Game 7 scheduled for Monday night at Blue Federal Credit Union Arena.
