Colo Colo overcame a deficit to defeat Deportes Concepción 3-1 in the Copa de la Liga. Fernando Ortiz's side leads Group A with 10 points after the win at Estadio Monumental.
The match started with a penalty goal for Deportes Concepción, scored by Joaquín Larrivey in the 44th minute. Colo Colo responded in the second half with goals from Maximiliano Romero at the 51st minute, Leandro Hernández at the 57th and Álvaro Madrid at the 78th.
It was the first comeback for the team under coach Fernando Ortiz. The manager said after the game: “We keep growing. We always seek our best version and we are on the right path”.
Javier Correa, the match hero, noted: “The team showed character in the second half and we turned it around quickly. I am convinced that hard work always pays off”. With the result, Colo Colo remains the sole leader of the group.
