Adam Copeland and Christian Cage have challenged The Dogs to an AEW World Tag Team Championship match at Forbidden Door. The challenge came after a brawl on AEW Dynamite.
Christian Cage and Adam Copeland issued the challenge to Clark Connors and David Finlay during the June 18 episode of AEW Dynamite. The pair had won the titles from FTR at Double or Nothing three weeks earlier.
The Dogs had been mimicking Copeland and Cage's signature Five-Second Pose. The champions surprised the challengers with an attack before they could enter the ring.
Cage addressed the crowd first, noting the unusual team name. Copeland followed by referencing his and Cage's own experiences facing veterans in the 2000s, stating the Dogs would have to pay their dues with a title defense at the pay-per-view.
Fightful reported that the match has not yet been made official.
