Delhi businessman thrashed for stopping woman's molestation, 4 arrested

A businessman in South Delhi's Mehrauli area was thrashed by four men after he tried to stop them from harassing women. Police arrested all four accused following a complaint. The victim received treatment at AIIMS and was discharged.

On Monday, Mukesh (26), a businessman from Sangam Vihar, was beaten up by four men in South Delhi's Mehrauli area. He had visited his maternal uncle's house that day and stopped for tea while returning home, where he spotted the accused harassing women and intervened.

Enraged, the men assaulted him and fled the scene. Police registered a case of assault at Mehrauli police station and arrested all four accused. An officer stated, “Mukesh had gone to his maternal uncle’s house on Monday. While returning home, he stopped at Mehrauli for tea where he allegedly noticed the accused harassing women, and protested.”

The victim was treated at AIIMS trauma center and subsequently discharged. The incident highlights ongoing concerns about women's safety and street crimes in Delhi. Police have initiated an investigation into the matter.
