AMMK chief TTV Dhinakaran has accused Vijay's TVK of submitting a forged letter claiming his party's support to the Governor and filed a police complaint in Chennai.
Four days after Tamil Nadu assembly election results, uncertainty continues over government formation with TVK holding 108 seats.
Dhinakaran told journalists outside Lok Bhavan on Friday night that TVK submitted a photocopy of a forged WhatsApp letter in the name of his MLA S Kamaraj. When the Governor asked for the original, they left, he said.
He lodged a police complaint at Guindy station alleging forgery. TVK countered by releasing a video of Kamaraj voluntarily expressing support for the party.
Dhinakaran also submitted a letter extending support to AIADMK leader Edappadi K Palaniswami and staked claim to form the government.
