Former AIADMK MLA from Jayamkondam joins TVK

J.K.N. Ramajeyalingam, former Jayamkondam MLA from AIADMK, joined the ruling TVK on Friday. Two other former AIADMK members are also planning to switch parties.

J.K.N. Ramajeyalingam, the former Jayamkondam MLA from AIADMK, joined TVK on Friday.

S. Ravi, a former Arakkonam MLA from AIADMK, met Water Resources Minister N. Anand to seek an appointment to join TVK. Pugazhendhi, a former AIADMK functionary, also met the minister and said he plans to join soon.

Pugazhendhi told The Hindu that the popular mandate for TVK chief C. Joseph Vijay and efforts to block AIADMK general secretary Edappadi K Palaniswami from forming a government influenced his decision. He added that he will announce details later.

Four AIADMK legislators recently resigned and joined TVK, along with former minister Vellamandi Natarajan.
