Emma Raducanu has withdrawn from the Nottingham Open following her loss in the Queen's Club final. The British player reached the final as the home favorite but fell to Donna Vekic. Several other players have also pulled out of the grass-court event ahead of Wimbledon.
Raducanu lost the Queen's final to Vekic in straight sets. Vekic took the first set 6-0 in 28 minutes after breaking serve early. Raducanu fought back in the second set to force a tiebreak but lost on Vekic's fourth match point.
During the match Raducanu expressed frustration with her coach Andrew Richardson. She said "Say something, you're saying nothing" to her box after dropping early points.
Raducanu had played multiple matches in one day at Queen's due to rain delays and showed signs of fatigue. She had strapping on her leg after a fall on the grass surface.
Her withdrawal from Nottingham was expected after the demanding schedule. Other players including Iva Jovic and Barbora Krejcikova have also withdrawn citing injury concerns before Wimbledon.
