Police stated that two youths from Rajasthan died in drone attacks in Oman on March 13 amid the ongoing West Asia conflict. The bodies reached their villages on Tuesday after being airlifted to Jaipur. Vikram Verma, a resident of Agloi village in Khandela region of Sikar district, had travelled to Oman on February 23 and was employed by a construction company on road projects. He spoke to his family a day before the attack, expressing concern about the situation there. Vikram's uncle, Mahesh Verma, learned of the death on March 14. He said, “Vikram was the only son among three sisters. His elder sister is married, while the two younger ones are still studying. He had gone to Oman to earn a better living for the family, as his father’s income was insufficient and his mother had been bedridden for the past six months. When I received the news of his death, it sent shockwaves through our family. No one thought this would be his destiny.” The news came from Vikram’s maternal cousin, who works for the same company at a different site and accompanied the body to India. Pappu Singh hailed from Lalpura village in the Raipur subdivision of Beawar district. Grief enveloped both villages upon the bodies' arrival, with relatives and locals expressing shock.
