Fleming has released evolved versions of its Series 1 watch, the Mark II Redwood in pink gold and Pacific in tantalum. The new models feature refined cases, dials and movements developed with Swiss experts. Prices start at CHF 53,500 excluding taxes.
Thomas Fleming, a California-based watch collector turned brand founder, unveiled the Series 1 Mark II on Wednesday. The watches build on the 2024 Series 1 Launch Edition, which came in limited runs of tantalum, platinum and pink gold. The Mark II introduces tweaks to the case geometry, dial depth and movement for better harmony, as described in a hands-on review by Fratello Watches. Fleming partnered with Jean-François Mojon at Chronode for the movement and Comblémine for the dial in the original series, with further refinements in the new versions made by Efteor in Switzerland. The Redwood model has a 5N 18K rose gold case measuring 38.5mm in diameter and 9mm thick, with a brown-and-gold dial inspired by California's coastal redwood forests. Its sibling, the Pacific, uses tantalum with a blue-green sector dial. Both maintain classic dress-watch proportions at 46.5mm lug-to-lug. Inside, the hand-wound Caliber FM.02 offers a 168-hour power reserve via twin barrels. The movement features reworked bridges, bespoke wheels with 28 interior angles each and extensive hand-finishing by Manufactor, including 189 angles total. The Redwood retails for CHF 53,500 before taxes, while the Pacific costs CHF 55,500. Both draw atmospheric inspiration from California without literal references.
