A 21-year-old man has been detained in absentia and is suspected of masterminding the thermos bombs placed during the Uppsala Marathon last autumn. According to sources he belongs to the top tier of the criminal Foxtrot network and is now being hunted internationally.
The man is suspected of a total of 18 crimes at five Swedish district courts. These include bombings in Katrineholm, incitement to attempted murder in Uddevalla and several explosions in Borås during autumn 2025.
Police operation Grimm has identified him as a High Value Target. Theodor Smedius at Noa says the man influences the violence situation in Sweden through his role in the network.
According to sources to SVT he is in Morocco. Swedish police recently visited the country to strengthen cooperation and prevent it from becoming a safe haven for criminal leaders.
