France defeated Morocco 2-0 on Thursday evening in Foxborough in the World Cup 2026 quarterfinals. Kylian Mbappé and Ousmane Dembélé scored the goals. The Blues advance to the semifinals for the third consecutive time.
The match took place at Gillette Stadium near Boston. France dominated the first half without scoring, despite a missed penalty by Mbappé. In the second half, Mbappé opened the scoring in the 60th minute with a curled shot from outside the box.
Ousmane Dembélé doubled the lead six minutes later on a pass from Mbappé. Morocco failed to create notable chances.
After the match, supporters celebrated the qualification in the streets of Paris, notably on the Champs-Élysées and Place de la Bastille. France will face Spain or Belgium in the semifinal on July 14.
