Gustaf Skarsgård instruerer gyserfilm om Ingmar Bergman

Gustaf Skarsgård får sin debut som spillefilmsinstruktør med den psykologiske gyserfilm ”Kannibalen på Fårö”. Filmen produceres af Anagram og blev præsenteret ved Film i Västs pressemøde i Cannes.

Det Lund-baserede selskab Anagram producerer filmen, som delvist bliver optaget i Ingmar Bergmans hus på Fårö. Optagelserne begynder i oktober, og Bergman-stiftelsen har godkendt projektet.

Gustaf Skarsgård beskriver filmen som en respektløs hyldest til Bergman. ”Det er en legende blanding af genrer”, siger han. Manuskriptet er skrevet af Peter Birro, og hovedrollen spilles af Ardalan Esmaili, mens Claes Ljungmark portrætterer Bergman.

Filmen skal også optages i Västra Götaland i løbet af efteråret. Den får svensk biografpremiere i 2027. Skarsgård kalder det en meta-gyserfilm, der udforsker kunstens pris.
