Actor Herbert Richers Jr brings the lead role to life in 'Cain, the Mystery', Lord Byron's play staged at Casa Slamb in São Paulo's Pinheiros neighborhood. Directed by Denis Victorazo, the production premieres this Saturday (April 25) and continues until May 17.

Victorazo calls it one of the poet's most controversial works, penned in 1821. It delves into yearning for freedom, rebellion against tyranny, and sexual boldness. "Herbert and I are friends, and he called me to direct the project because he said I was the only person who criticized his shows. Friends usually just praise!", the director told Folha de S.Paulo columnist Mônica Bergamo.

The show features Herbert Richers Jr as Cain in this revisited classic. Casa Slamb, in the heart of Pinheiros, hosts the performance. The play aims to spark reflections on timeless human themes.
