Hermano announces live album from 2016 Hellfest show

California's heavy blues rock band Hermano, fronted by Kyuss vocalist John Garcia, has revealed a new live album recorded at Hellfest 2016 in Clisson, France. The release, titled Clisson, France, arrives on February 6 via Ripple Music, accompanied by a live video for the track 'Left Side Bleeding.' The band also shared details of a European tour scheduled for spring 2026.

Hermano's upcoming live album captures their performance at Hellfest 2016, marking their reunion after an eight-year hiatus from live shows since 2008. The set, described as one of the festival's most thrilling, followed just a couple of hours of rehearsal and showcased the band's energetic chemistry. Guitarist Dave Angstrom reflected on the event: "We were honored to be invited to perform at Hellfest 2016. It had been several years since we all had been in the same room, let alone had the chance to jam together—and it was an incredible experience. Being with my closest friends in France, connecting with the amazing audience, and having the opportunity to spend time with my family while experiencing the magic of Hellfest is a memory I will always cherish."

The album, available on limited LP, CD, digital, and DVD formats, features 12 tracks including 'Left Side Bleeding,' 'The Bottle,' 'Cowboys Suck,' '5 to 5,' 'My Boy,' 'Is This Ok,' 'Alone Jeffe,' 'Kentucky,' 'Manager’s Special,' 'Angry American,' 'Love,' and 'Señor Moreno’s Plan.' Formed nearly three decades ago in 1998, Hermano—comprising John Garcia on vocals, Dandy Brown on bass, Mike Callahan and David Angstrom on guitars, and Chris Leathers on drums—has released three studio albums and a prior live record. Recent activity includes reissues of their catalog starting in 2023 with Ripple Music and new material in 2024's When the Moon Was High, following a headline slot at Hellfest 2025.

Building on fan enthusiasm, Hermano's 2026 European tour kicks off May 7 in Paris at La Maroquinerie, with stops in Utrecht, Cologne, Vienna, Munich, Berlin's Desertfest, London's Desertfest, Nijmegen's Sonic Whip, and Brussels' Obsidian Dust on May 17. This marks their first extensive tour in over a decade, offering fans a chance to see the influential heavy blues outfit live.
