New York Gov. Kathy Hochul questioned President Donald Trump's claim to be a lifelong Knicks fan by asking him to name players from a 1993 championship team that never existed.
The exchange began after Trump said he planned to attend this year's NBA Finals following an invitation from Knicks owner James Dolan and others. Hochul responded by suggesting Trump name the starting lineup from the team's supposed 1993 title squad. The Knicks did not win or reach the 1993 NBA Finals, which the Chicago Bulls won against the Phoenix Suns. Their last championship came in 1973 and their most recent Finals appearance before this season was in 1999.
