Jan Scotka received a match penalty for crosschecking Albert Johansson during Czechia's match against Sweden. The IIHF disciplinary panel reviewed the incident and opted against a suspension.
The incident occurred after 13 minutes of the first period when Czechia took a 3-0 lead. Scotka struck Johansson in the face with his stick following a clash involving Swedish captain Oliver Ekman-Larsson, who received a two-minute penalty. Scotka was assessed five minutes plus a 20-minute misconduct and a game misconduct.
