Egypt’s Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade Mohamed Farid met with members of the Egyptian Private Equity and Venture Capital Association to discuss the government’s investment reform agenda.
The meeting took place during the association’s Capital Call initiative and brought together over 60 participants from more than 50 investment financial and banking institutions.
Discussions focused on the legislative and regulatory framework financing tools and public-private partnerships.
Farid said the government’s relationship with the private sector is a genuine partnership aimed at building a stronger and more competitive economy.
The minister announced progress on the Economic Entities Platform and plans to launch specialized investment funds in cooperation with Egypt’s sovereign wealth fund.
