Jennifer Lopez attended Dolce & Gabbana’s Alta Moda show at Radicepura botanical garden near Taormina, Sicily. The event featured 100 looks inspired by mythology and Sicilian heritage. Lopez described feeling like the sexiest woman in the world in the designs.
The show unfolded over an hour amid tens of thousands of flowers at the horticultural park. Models presented gowns with hand-painted blossoms, three-dimensional rosettes, and gelato-hued chiffon as Mount Etna smoked on the horizon.
Lopez arrived late but paused for interviews before and after the presentation. She wore a bejeweled wiggle dress with a golden cape, later changing into a lemon chiffon goddess gown for dinner.
In remarks to Vogue, Lopez praised the designers’ consistency and craft. “I love that the brand is the brand. It is what it is, and you can count on that,” she said. She noted the clothes inspired her to imagine a larger life.
The multi-day event included Alta Sartoria menswear the following evening in Taormina’s ancient amphitheater. A closing beach party with an unannounced performer is scheduled for Thursday.
