Kejriwal says Punjab polls may be held in November

Aam Aadmi Party chief Arvind Kejriwal stated on June 12 that Punjab Assembly elections could take place in November 2026 instead of February 2027. He expressed confidence that Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann would be re-elected.

Kejriwal made the remarks during a roadshow in Bathinda. He was joined by Mann, AAP state in-charge Manish Sisodia and other party leaders.

“I have been told that the elections will be held in November [2026], not February [2027]. Only four months are left. Now we all have only one task — to make Bhagwant Singh Mann Chief Minister again,” Kejriwal said.

Kejriwal also noted that no corruption allegations involving even one paisa have been made against Mann in the last four years. He added that the Enforcement Directorate and Central Bureau of Investigation would have acted if such claims existed.

Mann stated that traditional political parties have struggled to accept leadership from an ordinary family background focused on public welfare.
