JJ Wetherholt of the Cardinals ranks second after excelling defensively at second base. He owns a 119 OPS+ with 13 home runs in 383 plate appearances and is the frontrunner for National League Rookie of the Year.
Parker Messick of the Guardians and Sal Stewart of the Reds round out the All-Star selections. Messick carries a 2.80 ERA over 80 2/3 innings, while Stewart has hit 19 home runs with strong production at multiple infield spots.
Other top performers include Tristan Peters of the White Sox and Foster Griffin of the Nationals, who have contributed significantly despite varying paths to the majors.
