LG unveils StanbyME 2 Max portable 4K touchscreen

LG has introduced the StanbyME 2 Max, a standalone 32-inch 4K touchscreen display priced at $1,300. The device offers 4.5 hours of battery life and can operate untethered around the home or office.

The new model features a detachable floor stand and runs a custom operating system with built-in access to streaming apps, FAST channels, productivity tools and video calling. It includes LG's α8 AI Processor Gen3 for automatic picture and audio adjustments based on content and room conditions, along with Dolby Atmos support and side-firing speakers.

Traditional HDMI and USB ports allow connection to external devices such as gaming consoles or laptops, while smartphone mirroring is also supported. Battery performance improves on the original 2021 StanbyME, which provided three hours of runtime on a smaller 1080p screen.

The product is spelled StanbyME, without the letter D.
