On Friday, Leksands IF announced the signing of Martin Karlsson. The 35-year-old forward joins the team after one season with Grenoble in France, where he recorded 13 points in 42 games.
Karlsson has signed a one-year contract covering the 2026/27 season. It marks his third stint with the club, following earlier periods that included two promotions to the SHL.
Leksand coach Johan Hedberg said Karlsson was always part of the team's plans. He highlighted the player's work ethic, intensity, and ability to set standards for a young squad.
Sport director Jesper Ollas noted Karlsson's leadership and professionalism as key assets both on and off the ice.
