Melitta Baumeister’s Nike Vomero and Pegasus Premiums set for release

Designer Melitta Baumeister is launching collaborations with Nike on the Vomero Premium and Pegasus Premium running shoes. The hand-painted pairs feature unique “Total Orange” and “Volt” colorways and will be available starting April 1. A pre-launch event takes place today at Dover Street Market Ginza.

Melitta Baumeister, in partnership with Nike Running, has finalized details for her Vomero Premium and Pegasus Premium sneakers, first teased last year. The Vomero Premium appears in a “Total Orange/Black” colorway (SKU IQ7166-800) with a hand-painted weathered effect that varies on each pair. Co-branding appears on the lateral midfoot and aglets, while the outsole includes eye designs and a lenticular blinking eye on the tongue watches observers. Priced at $260 USD, it launches April 1 on Baumeister’s website and April 8 via Nike SNKRS. The Pegasus Premium comes in “Volt/Cyber/Off White/Black” (SKU IQ7336-700) for $220 USD, featuring the motto “Run Like No One Is Watching” on the outsole, laces, and lateral rear midsole. Baumeister’s eye motif graces the medial midfoot and co-branded sockliner. Both models become available through the same channels: Baumeister’s site on April 1 and Nike SNKRS on April 8. A pre-launch event is scheduled today, March 28, at Dover Street Market Ginza in Tokyo. Baumeister shared previews on Instagram (@melittabaumeister), building anticipation for the drops.
