Mercedes team principal Toto Wolff has urged his team to stay balanced as it prepares to introduce its first major upgrade package of the 2026 Formula 1 season at this weekend's Canadian Grand Prix. The Brackley outfit aims to respond to gains made by rivals such as McLaren at the Miami Grand Prix.
Wolff emphasized the need for perspective in the Mercedes preview. He noted that the team heads to Canada ready to regain a regular rhythm after seven grands prix in 10 weekends. The upgrades arrive at Circuit Gilles Villeneuve from 22 to 24 May, but Wolff stressed that performance must be proven on track.
