A 72-year-old man in Minnesota faces charges of attempted murder after police say he shot his 18-year-old grandson during a dispute over a household chore.
The incident took place on May 3 at a home in Merrifield, according to a criminal complaint from the Crow Wing County Sheriff's Office. Deputies responded to reports of a shooting and found the teenager with injuries from birdshot at a nearby store after he fled the scene with his mother. Investigators learned that Jonathan Boyd Berg had argued with his grandson about storing a fish house, leading to a physical confrontation before the shooting occurred later that evening as the teen returned home.
