Münchener V-Bank bekræftede hændelsen i en udtalelse mandag. Ifølge banken var angrebet rettet mod en ekstern it-tjenesteudbyder.

Banken er Tysklands største depotbank for uafhængige kapitalforvaltere. Den beskrev hændelsen som uautoriseret dataadgang.

"Vi kan bekræfte, at vores bank blev mål for uautoriseret dataadgang som følge af et cyberangreb mod en ekstern it-tjenesteudbyder," lød det i udtalelsen.
