Nested Lands delays early access launch to February

The developers of Nested Lands have postponed the game's early access release from January 23 to February 25. This decision allows time for crucial improvements before launch. The settlement-building RPG is set in a dark, plague-ravaged world.

Developer 1M Bits Horde and publisher META Publishing announced the delay for Nested Lands just days after initially planning an early access launch on January 23. The new date is February 25, providing the team with additional time to implement essential features and ensure the game functions properly.

Nested Lands is a multiplayer settlement-building RPG where players manage a settlement in a harsh, plague-ridden world filled with twisted madmen and bandits. Survival depends on growing the settlement and leading peasants through dangers like hostile forces and severe weather. Players start from scratch, assigning specific roles to peasants for building, crafting, or gathering resources. With dozens of upgradable buildings and hundreds of items to craft—including farms and animals—players can customize their settlement freely.

Every decision carries consequences, potentially leading to prosperity or destruction from the plague. Random events and moral choices shape the village's fate. Players must recruit other survivors, protect them from threats, and prepare for challenges like brutal weather and winter. Securing basics such as medicine is vital, as its absence can doom the settlement faster than any external enemy.

The game emphasizes overcoming monumental challenges in an open world, where choices determine whether a player's legacy inspires praise or fear among the inhabitants of the Nested Lands.
