NVIDIA unveils GeForce NOW expansions at CES 2026

NVIDIA announced several updates to its GeForce NOW cloud gaming service during CES 2026, including native apps for Linux and Amazon Fire TV, flight control support, and new single sign-on features. The company also revealed upcoming AAA titles joining the platform, enhancing accessibility across devices. These developments aim to broaden gaming options without requiring high-end local hardware.

At CES 2026, NVIDIA highlighted expansions for GeForce NOW, focusing on device compatibility and user experience improvements. A new native app launches in beta for Linux, starting with Ubuntu 24.04 and later versions. This allows Linux users to stream games at up to 5K resolution and 120 frames per second, or 1080p at 360 fps, accessing ray tracing, NVIDIA DLSS, and other RTX features via cloud rendering, without needing a powerful local GPU.

Similarly, a native app for Amazon Fire TV streaming sticks enables direct TV streaming of PC game libraries using a gamepad, eliminating the need for consoles or gaming PCs. For flight simulation enthusiasts, GeForce NOW now supports hands-on throttle-and-stick (HOTAS) configurations, compatible with Thrustmaster and Logitech hardware. This pairs with RTX 5080-powered performance for Ultimate members, offering low-latency streaming and NVIDIA Reflex in titles like Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, War Thunder, and Elite Dangerous.

Access has been streamlined with Battle.net single sign-on integration, allowing quicker logins to supported games. Gaijin.net support is slated for early this year, reducing password prompts across desktops, laptops, handhelds, and TVs.

Upcoming AAA titles include IO Interactive’s 007 First Light, launching on PC May 27 with stealth-action gameplay; Capcom’s Resident Evil Requiem, featuring survival-horror elements; Gaijin Entertainment’s Active Matter, a military shooter in a multiverse setting; and Pearl Abyss’ Crimson Desert, an open-world action adventure. These will stream with high-fidelity graphics on various devices.

Six new games are available now: Pathologic 3, StarRupture, Ancient Farm, Blood West, Paradise Killer, and Supermarket Simulator. HITMAN – World of Assassination is optimized for RTX 5080. These updates position GeForce NOW as a versatile cloud gaming solution, expanding reach to more platforms and users.
