Rekordinteresse for Vansbrosimningen med en stigning på 42 procent

Interessen for Vansbrosimningen stiger kraftigt. Antallet af tilmeldte deltagere er steget med 42 procent i forhold til sidste år.

Vansbrosimningen forventes at samle omkring 14 000 deltagere i år. Det er næsten lige så mange som i 2016, hvor 15 471 personer deltog.

Antallet af deltagere er steget støt siden pandemien. Løbet er blevet arrangeret i 14 år og er på det meste 2,8 kilometer langt.

For at få en bedre startposition kan svømmere deltage i seedningsløb. Et sådant løb blev afholdt i weekenden i Falun med omkring 70 deltagere i alderen 6 til 76 år.

Gunnar Kihlberg, der arrangerer Runn Open Water, fortæller, at løbet har en aftale med Vansbrosimningen. Kerstin Tunzi fra Gävle har deltaget i Vansbrosimningen 22 gange.
