Claude Giroux may return to the Philadelphia Flyers after four seasons away. Conflicting reports have emerged about the 38-year-old forward's plans.
Claude Giroux played for the Flyers from 2008 to 2022 and served as captain for the final ten years. He recorded exactly 1000 NHL games and 900 points in a Flyers jersey, ranking second in club history in both categories.
David Pagnotta of The Fourth Period reported on X that the unrestricted free agent will return to Philadelphia. Bruce Garrioch stated that no final decision has been made by Giroux and that nothing is settled.
Broad Street Hockey noted that the Flyers held discussions with Giroux when free agency opened. Giroux spent the past four seasons with the Ottawa Senators and recorded 49 points in 82 games last season.
