Rolando Saenz appointed finance director at DB Breweries

DB Breweries has named Rolando Saenz as its new Finance Director, reporting to Managing Director Peter Hart. Saenz joins from HEINEKEN's Asia Pacific head office in Singapore, bringing extensive international experience. He commenced in the role on 1 March.

DB Breweries, a New Zealand-based company, announced the appointment of Rolando Saenz as Finance Director on 11 March 2026. Saenz reports directly to Managing Director Peter Hart and will oversee the DB and Star Hospitality Group businesses, with which he is already familiar from his previous regional role.

Prior to this position, Saenz served as Regional Financial Controller at HEINEKEN's Asia Pacific head office in Singapore. There, he contributed to regional performance management, enhanced planning and risk frameworks, and aided in delivering strategic priorities across the region, including New Zealand operations. Saenz joined HEINEKEN in 2012 and has since developed a career spanning Latin America, Europe, and Asia-Pacific. His professional journey began in Mexico, where he held several finance leadership roles, gaining expertise in business partnering and comprehensive performance management within one of HEINEKEN's rapidly expanding operating companies.

Peter Hart commented on the appointment, stating, “DB was fortunate to have secured a finance leader of Saenz’s calibre. Rolando’s experience in our Mexican operating company, combined with his regional and global roles, has earned him a strong reputation across HEINEKEN. His ability to translate strategy into clear priorities and measurable outcomes will be critical as we position DB for long-term success.”

Saenz expressed enthusiasm for the move, saying, “I’m excited to be joining DB Breweries at such a pivotal moment, and to be starting the next chapter of my HEINEKEN career in New Zealand. My focus is on bringing clarity and momentum to how we allocate resources, so we make every move count and invest behind the priorities that create sustainable value.”

This appointment underscores DB Breweries' emphasis on experienced leadership to support its strategic goals.
