Saliba and Upamecano miss France training session before Spain semi-final

Central defenders Dayot Upamecano and William Saliba did not take part in the France team training session on Saturday in Boston, three days before the World Cup semi-final against Spain.

The French team resumed training on Saturday after a day of rest in Boston, where they defeated Morocco 2-0 in the quarter-finals. The session took place under the sun at Bentley University. Aurélien Tchouaméni, back after adductor pain, was present and in contention for Tuesday’s match in Dallas.

Didier Deschamps continues to manage his players according to their fitness levels. The absences of Saliba, who has a back issue, and Upamecano are not considered serious by the staff. Both defenders were excused from the session.

On Sunday, the team is due to fly to Dallas on a flight of about five hours. The match against Spain is scheduled for Tuesday at 9 p.m.
