According to the Companhia de Engenharia de Tráfego (CET), on Friday (February 27), at 6 p.m., congestion reached 1.149 km, marking the third consecutive day above 1,100 km. On Wednesday (February 25), the peak was 1.149 km at 6:30 p.m., and on Thursday (February 26), it hit 1.313 km at 7 p.m., the highest of the year so far.
The most affected roads include Marginal Pinheiros, with 20.4 km of slowdown at 6:45 p.m., followed by the express lane of Marginal Tietê, with 19.1 km. In the southern zone, Itapecerica and M'Boi Mirim roads each had 10 km. CET attributes the worsening to wet streets, without major city events to explain the volume.
The Centro de Gerenciamento de Emergência (CGE) bulletin notes the day featured overcast skies, light rain, and intermittent showers across all regions. Compared to previous years, the 2025 record was 1.486 km, on a day of heavy rain and bus strike. The all-time high remains 1.902 km, on September 5, 2019.
For the weekend, the forecast indicates improving weather, with sun between clouds and no rain in the capital, temperatures between 16°C and 24°C.
