Shanghai Disneyland unveils Mickey Mouse Formula 1 show car

Shanghai Disneyland has introduced a Formula 1 show car featuring Mickey Mouse in Tomorrowland as part of the Disney and Formula 1 collaboration. The display coincides with the Chinese Grand Prix scheduled for March 13-15, 2026. Mickey and Minnie Mouse will appear in new racing-themed costumes at the park's Main Entrance.

A special Formula 1 show car inspired by Mickey Mouse is now on display in Tomorrowland at Shanghai Disneyland. This exhibit is part of the ongoing “Fuel the Magic” collaboration between Disney and Formula 1, which aims to integrate racing excitement into Disney parks and events. The car features a vibrant design with Mickey’s autograph near the driver’s seat and is positioned near the TRON Lightcycle Run attraction, connecting two high-speed experiences.

The launch aligns with the Chinese Grand Prix on March 13-15, 2026. At the event, a “Fuel the Magic” fanzone will offer branded merchandise, including items inspired by Shanghai, available at the F1 Hub, Grand Prix Plaza, F1.com, and the Amazon F1 Store for U.S. customers. Mickey and Friends will make appearances in Formula 1-themed outfits, promoting family-friendly entertainment at the race.

The partnership, which began in Las Vegas in 2025, expands for the 2026 season starting with the Australian Grand Prix. Additional elements include an original WEBTOON comics series, “Mickey x F1 Racing to the Top!”, featuring Mickey, Minnie, Donald Duck, and Goofy helping a racing team. A Gentle Monster eyewear collection with Disney-inspired designs will launch, alongside pop-up experiences in Seoul and Shanghai featuring a Mickey Mouse sculpture and an F1 car.

New merchandise, such as a Mickey Mouse plush in a Formula 1 uniform, will debut in Australia before a global rollout. The collaboration seeks to broaden Formula 1's appeal to families and introduce Disney fans to motorsport. Separately, a post from Disney Parks announced an upcoming collaboration involving Minnie Mouse, Daisy Duck, and F1 Academy.
