Shannon Shaw and Tycho launch 2026 musicians tour in San Francisco

Shannon Shaw of Shannon and the Clams and electronic artist Tycho performed and discussed their careers during the first stop of the 2026 Musicians on Musicians live tour. The event took place in San Francisco at the Clift Royal Sonesta’s Redwood Room. Hosted by Rolling Stone senior music editor Joseph Hudak, the evening highlighted the city’s tight-knit music community.

The interview covered personal stories from both artists. Tycho, whose real name is Scott Hansen, recalled moving to the Bay Area and finding acceptance in its electronic music scene. Shaw spoke about the support she received after her fiancé, drummer Joe Haener, died in a 2022 car accident, which inspired her 2024 album The Moon Is in the Wrong Place. She described the local audience as a vital part of the creative exchange in live music.
