Content creator Shegan has denied accusations of holding a meet-and-greet as Lisa Blackpink in Blok M, Jakarta. She explained that the viral video was actually for promoting a hair care product, not a fan event. Shegan also apologized to Lisa and her fans, the Lilies, for her carelessness in using the idol's name.
The controversy began with a video circulating on social media, showing Shegan surrounded by people in the Blok M area on March 3, 2026. The video went viral alongside reports that Lisa Blackpink was in Jakarta for a shooting activity, sparking suspicions that Shegan, who resembles the Thai idol, was deliberately holding a meet-and-greet to capitalize on Lisa's fame.
Responding to accusations from Lisa's fans, known as Lilies, including disappointment from those in Thailand, Shegan posted a clarification video on her TikTok account. "However, allow me to clarify a bit regarding the viral video in Blok M that I came there only to make a video themed ngabuburit with that hair care brand product. And that is not a fan meet or meet and greet event as rumored on social media," Shegan stated.
She added that the content was still in the editing stage and had not been published when the issue spread. Shegan also acknowledged her mistake in accepting a promotional job involving Lisa's name. "Hello everyone, I'm Shegan. First, I want to sincerely apologize to Lisa Blackpink and also the Lilies for the issues circulating lately. Because I was careless and not thorough about the job I took using Lisa Blackpink's name, which apparently greatly harms Lisa Blackpink's reputation and the Lilies," she said.
Further, Shegan stated, "I admit my mistake as a talent and content creator who agreed to a gimmick involving Lisa Blackpink's name in a promotion which I thought would not be a problem due to my ignorance. It turns out there is law behind it all. I admit I was careless, thus triggering anger from various parties which I deserve."
This incident highlights issues of exploiting celebrity likenesses in promotions, though Shegan emphasized that her intention was not to mislead the public.
