Siemens Healthineers AG provided pre-close updates on expected foreign exchange impacts for its third quarter of fiscal 2026 during a June 22 call.
The company noted that the year-over-year translation headwind on revenue is expected to ease compared with the second quarter.
A company executive quoted the chief financial officer as saying the headwind is easing because the comparison will be against an already weaker U.S. dollar from the prior year.
In the second quarter the translational headwind reached around 7 percent. For the third quarter the company anticipates a significantly less negative impact, though it still expects the U.S. dollar to be weaker year over year.
Assuming an average 3 to 4 percent weaker dollar and roughly 50 percent U.S. dollar exposure, the firm estimates a translational headwind of 1 to 2 percentage points for the quarter ending June 30.
