The team event features 10 countries that have qualified skaters in at least three of the four disciplines: men's and women's singles, pairs, and ice dance. South Korea lacks a pairs team but is participating to help its skaters acclimate to the venue's ice ahead of individual events next week.
Meanwhile, in mixed doubles curling, Kim Seon-yeong and Jeong Yeong-seok will take on the Czech pair of Julie Zelingrova and Vít Chabicovsky in their fifth round-robin match out of nine. The top four teams will advance to the semifinals.
These events signal the start of South Korea's Olympic campaign in Milan.
