The Pittsburgh Steelers have bolstered their roster with several notable acquisitions ahead of the upcoming season. New head coach Mike McCarthy brings experience and familiarity with quarterback Aaron Rodgers.
The team will conclude its offseason workout program on June 12 before reporting to training camp on July 28. SI analyst Matt Verderame noted that the additions of cornerback Jamel Dean, safety Jaquan Brisker and receiver Michael Pittman Jr. have created a stacked roster.
McCarthy, who spent 13 years with Rodgers in Green Bay, arrives with 174 career wins and a Super Bowl title. The Steelers acquired Pittman via trade to provide a reliable second option at wide receiver.
Verderame expressed concern over Rodgers, who is 42 and posted 3,322 passing yards at 6.7 yards per attempt last season. The veteran is expected to rely on the improved supporting cast and offensive line additions from the 2026 NFL Draft.
