Taylor Swift joined the Graham Norton Show at the last minute but refused to let anyone else lose their seat. The singer was promoting her album The Life of a Showgirl for the October edition.
Graham Norton revealed in a British GQ interview that producers had a full lineup when Taylor was added. He said the request came back from Taylor: “No one must be bumped.”
The episode featured an oversized sofa crew including Cillian Murphy, Greta Lee, Jodie Turner-Smith, Domhnall Gleeson and Lewis Capaldi. Every guest later appeared in Taylor’s Opalite music video released four months after the taping.
During the same chat Taylor spoke about her engagement to Travis Kelce and said planning the wedding would be fun because she would not stress over guest lists. She and Travis married on 3 July at Madison Square Garden with around 1,000 guests.
Graham called it a good show because everyone ended up in the video. He added with emphasis: “Everyone!”
