British band Temples have unveiled their new single 'Vendetta', drawing inspiration from electronic acts Daft Punk and Justice. The track previews their upcoming fifth album 'Bliss', set for release on June 26 via V2. Frontman James Bagshaw described it as a modern take on dance music.
Temples, the Kettering four-piece led by James Bagshaw, dropped 'Vendetta' as the latest preview from 'Bliss'. The single blends scuzzy riffs and pulsating synths into a dancefloor-ready melody, evolving from two originally separate track ideas. Bagshaw explained that merging them created a 'Justice-Daft Punk-sounding sample' leading into something akin to a David Guetta or Avicii track, delivering a dizzying, intoxicating feel with distorted vocals and euphoric choruses featuring lyrics like 'Fall away / I wanna feel alive / Sign off the night / And leave without your vendetta.'
