Uruguay will play Cape Verde in Group H of the 2026 FIFA World Cup on Sunday evening. The match kicks off at 11:00pm UK time and will be shown on BBC One.
Cape Verde earned a goalless draw against Spain in their opening game. Full-back Sidny Lopes Cabral said the result gave his team more trust.
"The goal is to go through the group phase," Cabral said. "This game gave us more power, more trust in ourselves."
Uruguay drew 1-1 with Saudi Arabia in their first match. They will be without room for error after the result, with a final group game against Spain still to come.
There are no injury concerns for either side. The teams have never met before.
