A Utah tow truck driver received a prison sentence of four to 23 years for a crash that killed a father and his 16-year-old daughter. Michael John Love failed to properly secure a bulldozer on his trailer, which then rolled off and crushed the victims' vehicle.
Michael John Love was sentenced on Friday after pleading guilty to charges including aggravated assault and negligent homicide. The July 2024 crash occurred on SR-39 in Ogden Canyon when the bulldozer broke free from Love's flatbed trailer and landed on a GMC pickup driven by Richard Hendrickson, CEO of Lifetime Products. Hendrickson and his daughter Sally were killed at the scene, while his wife and another child suffered injuries.
