Vibrant colors dominate spring 2027 menswear collections

Designers showcased full-body use of bright and pastel hues during the recent spring 2027 menswear shows. The trend marks a shift away from minimalism toward bolder combinations across entire outfits.

The spring 2027 menswear collections featured vibrant tones as the foundation of many looks rather than mere accents. Celine presented a tomato red sweater paired with a plum cummerbund and muddy brown trousers, while Auralee highlighted pool blue and navy pairings.

Tibi founder Amy Smilovic observed a sense of lightness in the presentations. She noted packing more color for her own vacation and linked the shift to a desire for levity amid serious global events.

Pantone Color Institute executive director Leatrice Eiseman explained how the combinations create multiple focal points without competition. Complementary colors, as seen in Marc Jacobs ready-to-wear pieces in New York, were said to enhance each other through color theory and texture.
