Wear OS 7 sees minor updates amid Google AI health push

Google I/O 2026 placed greater emphasis on AI-driven health tools than on the latest Wear OS software.

Wear OS 7 received only a passing mention at the event. Updates center on battery life gains of 10 percent over the prior version, a move to smaller Android-style widgets, refreshed Live Update notifications, a standardized workout tracking experience and expanded Gemini Intelligence features for select watches.
