A woman died and another was injured after crashing their motorcycle while fleeing an armed robbery on Marginal Pinheiros in São Paulo on Saturday afternoon. The accident happened near the Morumbi bridge.
The two victims were riding a motorcycle when two suspects on another bike approached them around 3:50 p.m. The assailants announced the robbery, leading the victims to attempt escape, but they lost control and hit a wall.
Military police and emergency services responded after witnesses alerted them. One occupant died at the scene. The other was taken to the Campo Limpo emergency room, though her condition was not disclosed.
The suspects fled. The case will be registered by the 15th Police District in Itaim Bibi.
