Wyndham accelerates EMEA expansion with 173 new signings

Wyndham Hotels & Resorts reported record growth in the EMEA region in 2025, signing 173 new hotels and opening 126 properties with over 11,500 rooms. The company now operates more than 770 hotels and approximately 100,200 rooms across Europe, the Middle East, Eurasia, and Africa. This expansion reinforces Wyndham's position in high-growth markets amid rising demand for branded accommodations.

Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, the world's largest hotel franchising company with approximately 8,300 hotels globally, delivered robust performance in the EMEA region during 2025. The company achieved 173 new signings and opened 126 hotels, adding more than 11,500 rooms spanning economy to luxury segments. Following these additions, Wyndham now manages over 770 hotels with about 100,200 rooms in EMEA, highlighting the region's importance for sustainable growth.

Growth was driven by strong inbound travel to iconic European markets like Greece, Italy, and Spain, alongside resilient domestic demand in India, Türkiye, and the Middle East. Interest in resort locations, secondary cities, and emerging destinations fueled opportunities in branded developments, including Branded Residences. Wyndham's global development pipeline reached 259,000 rooms, up 3% year-over-year, while EMEA RevPAR grew 6% in 2025.

In upscale segments, new openings included Dolce by Wyndham Siracusa I Monasteri Golf and Spa in Sicily, Comwell Hvide Hus Aalborg in Denmark, Signature Cave Cappadocia in Türkiye, and Wyndham Grand Udaipur Fateh Sagar Lake in India. For economy and midscale, landmark agreements introduced Super 8 by Wyndham to Iberia with 40 hotels over the next decade and 100 in Saudi Arabia to support Vision 2030.

Türkiye saw expansion with over 130 hotels across 40 cities, including recent openings like La Quinta by Wyndham Istanbul Kartal and the world's first branded cave hotel. In India, 29 hotels opened, focusing on Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities, with a new alliance for over 60 hotels across South Asia.

"Travel is no longer optional—it's a necessity and it continues to evolve," said Dimitris Manikis, President EMEA. "Our strong performance in 2025 reflects how we are growing alongside that change."

The Wyndham Advantage platform, backed by over $375 million in technology investments since 2018, supports owners with global distribution and 122 million Wyndham Rewards members. International travel is expected to remain resilient into 2026, positioning Wyndham for continued expansion.
